Come join us for fast paced up close and personal experience with some of the fastest and low flying ducks the open water has to offer. Bluebill, Bufflehead, Goldeneye, Red Heads, Old Squaw and the occasional Scoter make up most of the bag with opportunities at various puddle ducks, Mergansers and Canada geese.
A typical LnL hunt will take place at sunrise on Lake Michigan or Green Bay. Water and weather conditions will dictate specific locations on the lake as your safety is the most important factor. Based out of Milwaukee we have the added bonus of foul weather hunting inside the protection of a break wall when conditions warrant. Most hunts we will be anchored several hundred yards off the shore line in depths ranging from 10’-30’. Old Squaw and Scoters typically take us out to depths of 30’-100’.
Equipment LnL Outfitters is equipped with only the best equipment and gear. Our tender Boats consist of a 23 foot Pursuit deep-v with a 175hp outboard, 21 foot Starcraft deep-v with a 120hp outboard and a 16’ Starcraft deep-v with a 40 hp for a boat blind if needed. If you are interested in getting into layout hunting we currently have 4 layout boats from three different manufactures (2 Banks one-mans, a UFO, and a Mighty Layout Boys Super Mag) for you to test out. Also for your safety each hunter will be equipped with their own portable marine radio to keep in contact with the tender boat.
Decoys We generally set 7-10 dozen diver decoys but have set as many as 250 to conceal several layout boats. Decoy rigs are set-up using Doctari Longlines with various decoy manufactures such as Blackwaters, Plasti-Duk, Herters, GHG and others.
Safety All LnL guides are US Coast Guard Licensed Captains, registered Guides with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and hold a Valid EMT or CPR First Responder License. Prior to your hunt a mandatory safety briefing will be held outlining emergency procedures, gun safety, boat familiarization and Federal and State Laws as they pertain to waterfowl hunting.
Accommodations LnL Outfitters does not offer accommodations but will include upon request, a list of hotel/motels in the local area for your convenience. We truly look forward to spending the day with you on the lake. No guide can guarantee full limits but we can guarantee a very enjoyable experience and the assurance that if you have no opportunity to shoot ducks, your next hunt is free.
